Xander Does It Again!

This guy is on fire, and not just because he’s turning the golf world upside down. Fresh off his first major win at the PGA Championship, Schauffele waltzed into Royal Troon Golf Club in Scotland and snagged the Open Championship like he was picking up groceries.

Final-Round Heroics

On Sunday, our boy Xander shot a final-round 65. The best of the day by a cool two strokes, leaving Justin Rose and Billy Horschel to fight over second place. This makes it two major titles this season for Schauffele—because why settle for one when you can have two, right?

Mr. Clean: Bogey-Free Finish

Schauffele was one of only two golfers to finish the final round without a single bogey. Talk about keeping it clean! After a messy third round on Saturday that had him tied for second, he roared back with a 6-under final round. Now, he’s hanging out with the legends, joining Jack Nicklaus as one of the few golfers to post multiple final rounds of 65 or better on the way to major wins.

Consistency is Key

Before his double major bonanza, Xander had 12 top-10 finishes in his first 27 majors. Consistency much? Now, he’s got the Wanamaker Trophy from his PGA Championship victory and spent Sunday evening drooling over the shiny Claret Jug after what he calls the best round of his life. And who can blame him?

Two Months, Two Majors

Two months, two majors, and zero doubts left about whether Xander can handle the pressure. In the 90-year history of the four majors, no one has ever won two in one year with final rounds of 65. Jack Nicklaus did it twice in his career, but Tiger Woods? Nope, not even once. And Tiger won 14 of his 15 majors from the front, so there’s that.

Claret Jug Celebration

Of course, the celebration was legendary. Xander partook in the age-old tradition of sipping from the Claret Jug, because what better way to toast your victory than with a few adult beverages from golf’s most storied trophy?

A Season to Remember

Schauffele’s season is a masterclass in skill, determination, and rising to the occasion. As he keeps climbing higher, we can’t wait to see what he does next. So here’s to you, Xander—keep making us laugh, cheer, and shake our heads in disbelief!
